The Wingspan Campaign: Be part of our lift-off!
You’re a part of the Dance Arts community – and we need your help
Dear Dance Arts community,
Lately, we have been thinking about the community that has sustained us. We’ve been thinking about you.
You may have heard about our WINGSPAN campaign a few months ago. If that moment didn’t feel right, please know we understand completely.
The truth is, our challenges ran deep and lasted long. But we have come out the other side. Over this past year, with new leadership in place, things have slowly begun to steady. We are still here, still offering incredible training, still holding onto the same rigorous, beautiful work that you associate with the school.
Here is what seems amazing: if every one in our Dance Arts’ community gave $25, we would surpass our $75,000 goal. Of course, if you are able to give more, it would be incredibly helpful and deeply appreciated. It would mean the world. But every gift – no matter the size – brings us closer together.
More than anything, we would love to welcome you: to watch a class, sit in on a showing, or simply walk through the studio doors again. No gift is too small, no visit too brief.
It all matters.
With much gratitude,
Heidi, Jake, Bethany, Sam, Megan, Kéïta, and Tavia
The Dance Arts Team
The video above documents the names of 420 people who have contributed to the learning experiences Dance Arts has provided since 1968. Through various archives and conversations, the list was compiled to recognize the impact of many people over many years. It is not chronological or hierarchical. It reflects a broad community of people, past and present, who care deeply about dance education and the future of the art form. This is a testament to them. Please know this list is not exhaustive. We recognize names may be missing and kindly encourage you to let us know whom we may have accidentally overlooked.
We are grateful that Dance Arts continues to be a place for the intersection of many practicing artists and teachers. We hope you will celebrate these people with us.
