Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Evergreen Brickworks, for The Upheld Present. A special thank you to the SummerWorks Performance Festival for partnering with us to program these works, providing these emerging artists an opportunity to expand their creative ideas in a site-specific environment.

It was a beautiful and sunny weekend filled with powerful performances and engaged, supportive audiences including family, friends, alumni, and those who stumbled unexpectedly upon the performance. Amazing audience energy!

We congratulate our (now) alumni choreographers – Janique Devine, Joel Lawrence and Rohee Uberoi for their creative tenacity in bringing this performance to life. Congratulations also to their incredible collaborators, dancers Osvaldo Barreda “Ova” Buschmann, Emmett Bradshaw, Minuet Charron, Rachana Joshi, Kalli Lavigne-Passaw, Wai Liu, Christopher Petersen, Ranganathan Rajan, Liz South, and Jules Vance. Your performances were stunning and animated each location in the hot sun and the natural beauty of the Evergreen Brickworks. A total delight!
