Blessyl Buan, a dancer, choreographer, and Doctor of Chiropractic, fuses her expertise to shape a training method that imparts knowledge of performance and kinesiology. She recognizes dancers as spiritual beings with stories to share. Her philosophy underscores that movement proficiency and intention unlock creative expression.

Her recent contemporary dance work explores Philippine Indigenous traditions, “Kapwa” (interconnectedness), and cultural identity. Her short dance film, “Rara: Reweaving Diasporic Stories” (2022), was featured in Danceworks Summer Reel 2023. She is a grant recipient and is developing a solo work.

Her body of work inspires future generations, including her four children, to transcend repression.
