Our New Name

As an institution that has been a formative presence in Canadian dance for many years, we recognize the significance of this change. This transition marks a new era, grounded in our rich history but with a clear vision towards the future. It is an opportunity to reaffirm our values and call on our community to unite around our shared objectives, as we strive to create, collaborate, and dance together.

While the School and the Company were founded together, we have operated as separate organizations since 1978. We have collaborated and will remain as strong partners in dance in the community. Our transformation serves to highlight our independent identity and growing organization.

Through our Artistic Research Residencies, our faculty and guests share their research with our community, enriching our collective knowledge and understanding of contemporary dance practices.
