Join us in-person on September 16 and 17 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Dance Arts Institute, located at 585 Dundas St E – Unit 130. Out of province participants can join virtually via Zoom.
Please note that Sarah Hin Ching U (Artist Researcher) is based in Vancouver, BC and will deliver this workshop remotely to both in-person and virtual participants.
In this workshop, participants will be introduced to Runway*, an AI-powered online video editing tool. Designed specifically for dance artists who are curious in digital dance creations, this workshop offers participants a comprehensive step-by-step tutorial on Runway which will include the basics of green screen and motion tracking. Sarah will share strategies on how to train the software to comprehend and interpret movement pathways through key-framing, as well as how to optimize software response to movement through choreography, videography, and other editing techniques. Workshop participants will have time to explore the software and the opportunity to share and take home work examples.
Please note that Sarah will join Dance Arts virtually to conduct this workshop, and participants will attend in-person.
*Runway is a free, web-based software and requires no application download.
