Rodney Diverlus

Rodney Diverlus is a Haitian-Canadian artist working across mediums. Described by the Canada’s largest publication, the Toronto Star, as “one of Toronto’s fastest rising dance talents”, they have created original live performance works commissioned across North America including Atlantic Ballet of Canada, Toronto Dance Theatre, Tapestry Opera , Toronto Metropolitan University, Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre, SummerWorks Performance Festival, Art Gallery of Ontario, Tableau d’Hôte Theatre, Irie Music Festival, Dance Matters, The Gladstone Hotel, Art Toronto, Dance Immersion, and Annual Alberta Dance Festival. 

Rodney has performed in dance, theatre, and opera, including four seasons with Decidedly Jazz Danceworks. They have interpreted works of Aria Evans (Political Movement/ Museum of Contemporary Art),  Peter Hinton/Denise Clarke (Canadian Opera Company), Natasha Powell (Holla Jazz), Matt Alfano (Stratford Festival), Darryl Hoskins (Dietrich Group), Noemi Lafrance (The Bentway), Kevin Ormsby (Kashe Dance), Mumbi Tindyebwa, (IFT Theatre), Karen & Allen Kaeja (Kaeja d’Dance), Tanisha Scott/Director X (Luminato/Canadian Stage), Eddie Elliott (Red Sky Performance), Wind in Leaves Collective, Hannah Kiel, Michèle Moss, Christopher Walker, Tara Friedenberg, and Linnea Swan.

Rodney Diverlus est artiste canadien d’origine haïtienne qui travaille sur plusieurs supports. Décrits par la plus grande publication canadienne, le Toronto Star, comme «l’un des talents de la danse qui montent le plus vite à Toronto», iel a créé des œuvres originales en direct commandées dans toute l’Amérique du Nord, dont le Ballet atlantique du Canada, le Toronto Dance Theatre, le Tapestry Opera, l’Université métropolitaine de Toronto, le Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre, le SummerWorks Performance Festival, le Musée des beaux-arts de l’Ontario, le Théâtre Tableau d’Hôte, le Irie Music Festival, Dance Matters, l’hôtel Gladstone, Art Toronto, Dance Immersion et l’Annual Alberta Dance Festival.
