Elke Schroeder

Elke Schroeder is a Canadian/German Helsinki-based dance artist. A passionate performer, teacher and maker, her work takes her to art and movement institutions around the world. A graduate of the School of Toronto Dance Theatre in 2005, her diverse training background includes myriad dance styles, acrobatics, theatre studies, martial arts, athletics, functional movement and yoga. Elke is a long-time student of the Fighting Monkey practice and is a designated Inspire by FM instructor. She is the co-creator of Underdog Practice with her partner Mikko Rinnevuori, makes solo work for her own company par/amour, and is a dancer for Raekallio Corp.

Elke Schroeder est danseuse canadienne/allemande basée à Helsinki. Artiste, enseignante et créatrice passionnée, son travail l’amène à se produire dans des institutions artistiques et chorégraphiques du monde entier. Diplômée de la School of Toronto Dance Theatre en 2005, elle a suivi une formation diversifiée qui comprend une multitude de styles de danse, l’acrobatie, les études théâtrales, les arts martiaux, l’athlétisme, les mouvements fonctionnels et le yoga. Elke pratique depuis longtemps le Fighting Monkey et est instructrice certifiée Inspire by FM. Elle est co-créatrice d’Underdog Practice avec son partenaire Mikko Rinnevuori, réalise des œuvres en solo pour sa propre compagnie par/amour et est danseuse pour Raekallio Corp.
