Bethany Lifeso

Bethany began dancing at age 4, and dance has remained an important part of her life ever since. She is trained in ballet, jazz, and modern, and holds an Honours BFA in Dance from York University. She worked administratively for eight years with The National Ballet of Canada, and a further nine years with the Royal Academy of Dance Canada. For the past 13 years she had also been a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and finance coordinator with Momentum Dance Toronto, a member-based performance company for dancers with day jobs. Bethany is pleased to begin a new chapter in her career with Dance Arts Institute and can’t wait to get to know the students, staff, and faculty.

Bethany a commencé à danser à l’âge de 4 ans et, depuis, la danse occupe une place importante dans sa vie. Elle a reçu une formation en ballet, en jazz et en danse moderne, et est titulaire d’un baccalauréat spécialisé en danse de l’Université York. Elle a exercé des fonctions administratives pendant huit ans au sein du Ballet national du Canada, puis pendant neuf ans à la Royal Academy of Dance Canada. Au cours des 13 dernières années, elle a également été danseuse, enseignante, chorégraphe et coordinatrice financière de Momentum Dance Toronto, une compagnie de danse basée sur les membres et destinée aux danseurs ayant un emploi de jour. Bethany est heureuse d’entamer un nouveau chapitre de sa carrière avec le Dance Arts Institute et a hâte d’apprendre à connaître les étudiants, le personnel et les professeurs.
